ABOUT US

Attentive to contemporary challenges and specific needs, RDR advocates a coherent and comprehensive approach, aiming to anchor each project both locally and over time. Drawing on a strong architectural heritage, the practice relies on its expertise and experience to develop responsible and sensitive projects, for the benefit of people and society.

Through a collaborative process, the teams seek a subtle balance between typological, structural, and material approaches. With both enthusiasm and rigor, they develop thoughtful solutions that integrate seamlessly into their specific contexts. Technical sobriety and architectural language are employed to ensure that buildings endure beyond eras and styles.

Founded in 1993 in Lausanne, RDR is now led by a new generation of architects. The Lausanne office is managed by Kenneth Ross, Antoine Barc, and Frédéric Comby, who uphold the values established by the founders Jacques Richter and Ignacio Dahl Rocha. Following the same philosophy, Facundo Morando leads the Buenos Aires team, while José María Gastaldo and Alberto Garmendia are in charge of the new team based in Madrid.

Today, RDR brings together around seventy collaborators in Lausanne, thirty in Buenos Aires, and ten in Madrid. Through his academic work and project involvement, Ignacio Dahl Rocha continues to contribute to architectural discourse. Jacques Richter and Christian Leibbrandt, former partners, provide support to the current management team.
